UWCU Selling Administrative Building on University Avenue; Adjacent Branch to Remain

Madison, WI – February 13, 2023 – UW Credit Union is selling its administrative building at 3500 University Ave. in preparation for a move to its new campus. The neighboring branch at 3750 University Ave. is staying in place. 

“This active retail location, drawing heavily from the Hilldale area and surrounding communities, will continue to provide in-person, drive-through and ATM services,” said Paul Kundert, president and CEO. “We remain as committed as ever to our members who use this branch.” 

The 3500 University Ave. building – the credit union’s headquarters for almost three decades – is being purchased by UW-Madison and will eventually house the university’s Division of Extension staff.  

UWCU employees – including administrative and mortgage teams – will remain onsite until their new campus space is available – no later than mid-2024.  

“We’re pleased to welcome the new owners to the Hilldale area,” said Kundert. “We’re confident they’ll enjoy the location and amenities as much as we have.”
